To meet the challenges of this project, the installation of the first two concrete batching plants (UP1 and UP2) was completed in a record time of 7 months. Ultimately, this facility will expand to four production units, becoming the largest concrete production plant in France.
To achieve the target of 1 million m³ of concrete, the production capacity will reach 12 m³ of concrete per minute, thanks to the four ARCEN plants equipped with 3 m³ mixers. The logistics will be scaled to accommodate this volume, with storage areas designed to hold 5,000 tons of cement, 27,000 tons of aggregates, and 70,000 liters of admixtures.
UP1 is now operated by our teams and those of GIE Béton (BSM). The second production unit will become operational following the current commissioning tests.
A huge congratulations to all the dedicated teams from Eiffage Génie Civil, Clemessy, and Eiffage Route, as well as to our partners: ARCEN, SENDIN, Bolding Work, SOMA, Béton Solutions Mobiles, Sarens, Hydrostop, and DPFLUIDES!
